Chiringa– Parish Priest Fr Charles Manyenje

We were introduced to this parish in 2005, with a request to help them convert an old building into a pre-school playgroup.   We did this and also paid to purchase and erect a play area with equipment for the children to enjoy.

They currently take around 365 children for five days per week, who are given a meal each day they attend.

We maintain this project with an annual gift which covers the costs of cooking implements, staff wages and building maintenance.

In December 2016  We sent funds to Fr Charles to enable him to install pews in two of his area churches.   Without these,  worshippers either stand up or sit on the floor throughout the services.   As you will see from the photos shown below, the pews are constructed by local craftsmen…..
